CAMPSITE COOKIN' -- Thai Chicken Pizza

One of the greatest wrongful assumptions about going on long canoe trips is that your food is boring and repetitive. It is quite the opposite in fact, and we love the challenge of re-creating our regular favorites over a fire. Follow this step by step guide to making tasty tasty tastttttttttty Thai Chicken Pizza at your campsite!

INGREDIENTS:

+Bannock Mix

+Real Bacon Bits

+ Canned Chicken

+ Cheddar Cheese (wrapped in vinegar wrap to preserve)

+Parmesan Cheese

+ Dehydrated Vegetables (we used onions, peppers, jalapenos and carrots)

+ Oil

[Sauce]

+Peanut Butter

+ Soya Sauce

+Sri Racha Chili Sauce

+Honey (from Fresh Roots Farm of course!)

+Ginger

+Garlic

+Chili Flakes

Bannock Dough is delicious. Mix flour, salt, and lard in a ziplock bag. Add a touch of garlic powder or garlic salt, water and oil and knead.

Fry bannock in a frying pan while the dehydrated vegetables rehydrate in boiling water.

Mix your sauce together!

Fry chicken, bacon, veggies and a bit of the sauce together.

Sauce the bannock and add your topping mixture.

Sprinkle generous amounts of parmesan cheese on the pizza.
